States are the backbone of the system and you will see them referenced throughout the system but what really are they. Getting to know states and the logic behind them will help you make better automations, groups, reports and even fields in templates such as emails, sms and letters.
In simple terms states are a value of something. Perhaps a field within Proptimise or an integration but wherever a field has a value, this will be known as a state.
For example, the state of the entity “Property Price” would return a value such as £250,000.00. Another example would be the “Contact Mobile Number” would return a value such as “07777 777 777”.
To keep the system logical each entity has a path. A path which you could logically follow through the system to get to that entity. Going back to our example earlier of the property price, we need to decide the way we get to that property price.
Part of system data is being called. Property, Contact, Integration etc
Reference or group reference where a specific property or specific property with that group should be called
Denotes inside either the Property, Contact, Integration etc
Inner section of area of the entity we are looking
Further mapping of the exact entity required
By understanding how entities and states work within Proptimise, you will have a better knowledge for putting together automations, groups and templates.
