Real time clock (RTC)
Due to the fact that the Raspberry Pi does not have an RTC, the system time can differ significantly from the actual time after a power or internet failure. Automations such as e.g. arming the alarm system from midnight are then executed at the wrong time.
The integrated battery-powered RTC of the RaspBee II always guarantees the exact time.
Tailored for the Raspberry Pi
The RaspBee II transforms the Raspberry Pi into a universal Zigbee gateway. Thanks to its small formfactor it fits into standard Raspberry Pi housings.
Platform independentThe RaspBee II turns minicomputers like Raspberry Pi and Intel NUC as well as PCs and laptops into universal Zigbee gateways. Using the Phoscon App backup function it is possible to transfer a Zigbee installation to a new system. For example, you can migrate an existing setup from a Raspberry Pi to a more powerful Intel NUC.
Thanks to its power-amplifier, the RaspBee II has an outstanding range. This makes it possible to bridge 2–3 rooms or floors, depending on the construction type. Devices further away are connected through the Zigbee Mesh network. In this network, all mains powered Zigbee devices, such as lights and sockets, act as repeaters and can route the signal.
